چکیده

Abstract We study the Hamiltonian for a system of three identical bosons in dimension interacting via zero-range forces. In order to avoid fall center phenomenon emerging standard Ter-Martirosyan–Skornyakov (TMS) Hamiltonian, known as Thomas effect, we develop detail suggestion given seminal paper Minlos and Faddeev 1962 construct regularized version TMS which is self-adjoint bounded from below. The regularization by an effective three-body force, acting only at short distance, that reduces zero strength interactions when positions particles coincide. analysis based on construction suitable quadratic form shown be closed Then, domain action corresponding are completely characterized regularity result elements given. Furthermore, show norm resolvent limit Hamiltonians with rescaled non-local interactions, also called separable potentials, suitably renormalized coupling constant.

Three-Body System with Short-Range Interactions

Within the framework of non-relativistic scalar effective field theory (EFT) it is shown that the amplitude for a particle scattering off a two-body bound state, in leading order EFT, is entirely determined by two-body parameters. No three-body forces are required at the leading order. The arbitrary parameter present in the solution of the equation of Skorniakov and Ter-Martirosian for doublet ...

Three-Body Dynamics in One Dimension

We discuss the general three-particle quantum scattering problem, for motion restricted to the full line. Specifically, we formulate the three-body problem in one dimension in terms of the (Faddeev-type) integral equation approach. As a first application, we develop a spinless, one-dimensional (1-D) model that mimics three-nucleon dynamics in one dimension. In addition, we investigate the effec...

Three-body interactions with cold polar molecules

Fundamental interactions between particles, such as the Coulomb law, involve pairs of particles, and our understanding of the plethora of phenomena in condensed-matter physics rests on models involving effective two-body interactions. On the other hand, exotic quantum phases, such as topological phases or spin liquids, are often identified as ground states of hamiltonians with threeor more-body...

Resonances in three-body systems with short and long-range interactions

The complex scaling method permits calculations of few-body resonances with the correct asymptotic behaviour using a simple box boundary condition at a sufficiently large distance. This is also valid for systems involving more than one charged particle. We first apply the method on two-body systems. Three-body systems are then investigated by use of the (complex scaled) hyperspheric adiabatic e...
